The scavengers are running wild during "Spring Clean-Up" in Silicon Valley

Residents in my area get one day a year in which they can pretty much set anything except hazardous materials at the curbside for pickup.

That means mountains and mountains and mountains of shit EVERYWHERE.

About a zillion percent chance of picking up nails in your tires.

AND scavenger after scavenger after scavenger digging through these mountains of shit. Beat-up pickup trucks piled sky-high and roped down with the bounty of digging through endless curbside dumps.

We have to set the stuff out by 6:00 AM Monday. I usually get up at 3 AM...that's when mine's going out.

Looking out my living room window right now is like watching a scene from John Carpenter's "Escape From New York."
