I'm taking the night off from homework...Overwhelmed
While that may seem counterintuitive, I need to rest my brain.

I spent all day reading "The Affluent Society" (less than 100 pages to go!), and thinking about my research paper on it. I need to write my prospectus/proposal tomorrow, as well as do my FAFSA, and do my parents' budget.

I spent 5 hours in the Econ lab yesterday, working on Econometrics and writing the Intro for my Econ. of the Environment group research paper.

I *have* to get all of tomorrow's stuff done by the time I go to sleep on Sunday, b/c I have an incredibly difficult Econometrics takehome midterm due Thursday, which will require every ounce of my attention and energy Monday-Weds.

x( I'm not happy. I cannot wait for Friday to get here. My plan is to skip Philosophy, sleep in, and then go to the mall for retail therapy. I need an outfit for Welcome Day, which is Saturday.

Sigh.

1. You're as sad as I am.
In my time off from programming, I read books about programming. There's no hope for us. ;)

3. Did you see what I bought last night?!
http://www.amazon.com/Fundamental-Methods-Mathematical-Economics-Chiang/dp/0070108137

:o

But, as a good Econ major, I got a "like new" used copy for 70% under retail. :D

And that's pleasure reading.

Tonight, I'm curling up with a Bloody Mary and "Intro to Behavioral Economics"

So sad.

:loveya:

9. Thanks for the link - it's on my wish list for later reading
Ah, the good old days. I don't know how you do it. I don't know how I did it. The answer is, you just do. Keep up the good work.

10. Exactly...Just keep on going, and going...
Being a highly motivated Econ major with big goals is...difficult!

But, overall, I love it. Otherwise I wouldn't be doing it.

Thanks!!

And, you're welcome. :)

8. No sleep for me yet! My body doesn't sleep until at least 11...but,
then I will get up at 7:30, make coffee, and hit the books. Or rather, MS Word, where I will force my self to produce a coherent and A worthy prospectus and bibliography. Sometimes it's not so fun to have your Dept chair as your Prof. *pout*

4. Sometimes you just have to take a break
I am so glad this quarter is over for me - between getting sick (and staying sick for ridiculously long periods of time) and working full time and all my classes seemed to have tons of reading and major projects....

I have a week off then I'm only taking 2 classes next quarter just for a little break.

Hang in there, darlin'. You deserve a break and your brain will be sharper for it.

7. I am excited for that, keeping my eye on the prize!! Plus,
I'm also going to hit Williams Sonoma while there :D

Plus, I get to see my adorable niece on Sunday at her birthday party. The day after I last saw her, she named all of her dolls after me. Awww!

19. I came close to reading one of my assigned books in its entirety today.
I simply couldn't push myself through the last 30 pages. Agh! So close.

Take a break! And don't feel the slightest bit of guilt for taking care of yourself.
