If I didn't have, uh, an obligation in Bama who refuses
to go outside a climate-controlled building or vehicle
if the ambient temperature is above 80 F. To be fair, though
usually when the temp's 80, the humidity is around 75% or so.

Hey, God's free sauna!

BTW, beautiful pics!

5. Thanks, bro.
Contrary to where I grew up (the Montana prairie),
I hibernate from May to September.

8. There is a part of me that envies that view.
I grew up in Montana and am occasionally nostalgic for that view.

I'm not trying to rub it in, neighbor.

10. Oh I know you aren't
I'm just itching to get to gardening. The snow has melted quite a bit today. I'm just feeling sorry for myself. Heh.

17. It seems that beautiful desert flora usually has thorns
I've noticed this from your pics and personal experience. At one point
in my pre-DU days, I had a regular run from El Paso to LA, up to Sacramento,
back to LA and El Paso. I ran that route for a year and a half. Single at
the time, obviously.

To me, it's Nature's way of saying "Appreciate My beauty, but don't f***
with Me".

:)

19. I think the cactus blossoms are more beautiful for the thorns that protect them.

18. Okay, I get why we should use the metric system, but I like the Farenheight measurement
Edited on Sat Mar-29-08 08:40 PM by Hippo_Tron
It makes sense because from 0 to 100 is fairly normal conditions and anything above 100 or below 0 is pretty extreme.
