3. Let me recommend a good book about it

The Godfather Legacy, by Harlan Lebo
A great read for fans of the film. Touches briefly on the second and third films, but is mostly about The Godfather, and the struggle Coppola had to get it made. As one reviewer says, "Take the book leave the cannoli."

4. I agree, and I have watched the trilogy several times.
It takes a couple viewings of all three to figure it all out.

5. Still **the** best ever. The entire trilogy
The sequels were every bit as good as the original.

The whole works on many levels.

The cinematography is so deep and rich you can almost chew on it and taste it. The plot line is impeccable. The acting is excellent across the board. The score is rich in the extreme. The theme is woven into everything ..... even when Anthony (Michael's son) receives his First Communion in 2, within the organ music at the church is the refrain from the theme song.

I have watched this trilogy perhaps twenty times. Maybe more. And each time I see more and see something brand new to me.

I consider the trilogy to be one movie and I sincerely believe it to be the greatest movie ever made.

6. Amazon.com has the triology . . .
for $32.99. I must get it someday. That way I can watch it all without commercials and without any cuts. :)

7. I bought the trilogy when it was first offered
It came on four DVDs. The fourth was loaded with extras ..... interviews, 'the making of ..', deleted scenes, lots more.

We watch it every once in a a while.
