proposition for Canadian or European DU-ers

okay, so far no one wants to green card marry me in return for homecooking.

but I need to gtf outta here. I spent a little time in gd-p and now I don't even know if I can live with fellow dems. then I stepped out into gd and made what I thought was a non-hostile comment and again, was asked to eat a shit sandwich. If someone goes after me, they're gonna get it back. Those are the playground rules because bullies don't read Roberts (and neither do I, it seems.)

DU isn't representative of everywhere, but it does serve as a sort of microcosm of American life. And that life is sort of like you've walked into a toy store and before you know it, Pri has your neck in a thigh lock and Roy is pushing your eyeballs into your skull.

So I'm appealing to your humanitarian instincts. Or your tax shelter instincts. Or some instinct... whatever, you choose.

this is my proposition: let's go into business together. say, in Amsterdam. a used book store for all the pot tourists. who knows, we might even be able to coerce another DUer into being an American supplier (of used books, obviously.) Plus I can bring in about 300k titles (if we do this before I have my garage sale.)

Stoner lit sells well, even among non-stoners. we could have movie nights, too, and show dvds.. continuous showings of The Big Lebowski and Run Lola Run (with subtitles) and Fantastic Planet. Jim Jarmusch festivals every month...

Plus, I watched all three seasons of Weeds, so I think I can consider myself an expert on certain side lines... (okay, maybe that's not exactly first hand knowledge, but I have made sedum "clones" and geranium "clones" and have grown other herbs from seeds.) But that's only for when we diversify.

Plus, DUers are gonna need an underground railroad if the repukes use those wacky tallies for votes because McCain will be doing his Dr. Strangelove then. We'd need a cash base to start our DU commune (Proles has a list of everyone's skills.)

Ideally, we'd have one of those inns along a bike route where ppl can stay or just have dinner and buy books and be baked. With a bus or train line close by.
