5. My kidlet loves Fleetwood Mac too |
|
I'm a huuuuge fan of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac, and when my son was two years old, I had a video of a concert album they did called "The Dance". He watched it with me one day, and then started begging me to watch "the music people!". He STILL calls them "The Music People", lol.
My favorite songs are Silver Springs, Gypsy, Rhiannon, Gold Dust Woman, Tusk, I'm So Afraid, Over My Head, and also everything Stevie Nicks has ever done solo. :hi:

10. Almost any song by Fleetwood Mac |
|
is great in my book. I love their older stuff the most, but I think I have over half their songs on the MP3 right now.
Our daughter is a big Stevie fan. She likes all music but since she grew up on classic rock, that is her favorite stuff. Our son, OTOH, is more into country.
It is really great when your kids "discover" the bands you listened to in your youth, and they find that it was good music.

13. Kids are commonly better than adults with music. Typically, adults only like THEIR music... |
|
... while kids typically like the kids' music AND older music.
And everybody knows that Gold Dust Woman is their best. :)

15. I recently discovered my Queen CDs in my son's room! |
|
I was so thrilled! I think the whole Guitar Hero thing is (thankfully!!) having an influence on this generation's taste in music. I often hear Kansas or Aerosmith or AC/DC type songs when he's playing that game -- he was surprised that I knew those songs too, lol.
