Does your cat do this?
I call it "loafing," making themselves look like "cat loaf." :-)

They tend to leave their tails untucked. Why? I don't know because inevitably one cat will pounce on the other cats tail...:)

9. the hairy tuxedo is the infamous Riff Raff
background on this photo - I had just moved and RR escaped and lived in a storm drain for 17 days - I took that pic about 10 minutes after rain drove RR to my window, begging to be let in. Clancy was none-too-pleased to see Riff Raff again, as is evident in his facial expression and body posturing!!! :o

54. Awww! Riff Raff looks just like a cat in my neighborhood.
An extremely fluffy tuxedo kitty with an extra-cute face. This cat is real friendly, always comes up to you, rubs against your legs, weaves back and forth around your legs as you're trying to walk, and drops on his back and rolls around on the sidewalk. So cute.

" Let me in, please!" :)

Yep, there are the real thing- brudders, discovered together
one week old stashed inside a earth mover compartment ( a Bobcat)
where the Momma had hid them at a construction site.
She didn't come back that day- ( I think something happened to her ;(
so my SO took Nemo & Darwin, and an electrician took their two sisters home.
They had been feeding them and keeping them warm all day- One Bobcat not in use
that day.

They've been with us ever since then July 5th, 2001.

22. awwwwwwwwww
what a sweet story1

In July of 1998 I had to have my male black cat L.B. put to sleep at age 15....I was terribly distraught and 10 days later I decided I would go to the pound but IF I got a kitty it would not be a male black one like L.B.....so I'm in the viewing room and there's lots of people in there and of all the cats, this one.......er, male, black kitten just locked eyes with me and followed me with his eyes no matter where I was in the room. Almost like he was saying YOU KNOW YOU WANT ME. Yup, I went home with him that same day for 32 bucks. :D

24. Just looked in my cat encyclopedia . . .
Genetically, black cats are tabbies. But they have another gene that produces the black pigmentation. The same thing happens with black leopards.

I didn't read anything stating otherwise. I know very little about genetics, but I don't see what would prevent more than one kitten in a litter being black, especially since the tabby coat pattern is so common.

I got her from the shelter so I don't know anything about her sibs. But I imagine a female Bombay has more than one kitten at a time, and they'd all be black.

BTW, LOVE my Bombay! My dad has her now, I left her at his house when my mom died to help him over the grief, and she basically took over and adopted him. They're completely bonded, mostly cuz the Bombay has to sleep on one's lap or very near a human body all the time.

they do goof around and play fight but there's 8 years age difference between them - Clancy wants it to stop long before Riff Raff does so eventually Clancy starts screaming like a little girl. Doesn't help that Riff Raff sits on top of the cat box and bops Clancy's head while he's tending his business, either :(
