I agree that it's distasteful, but he's the President and he loves baseball. Matter of fact the fact that he loves baseball may be his only redeeming quality.

And that makes him being on there a joke by default.

He IS a joke. No argument there.
Edit - jeez he is the worst speaker ever as President.

5. He wanted to be commissioner of MLB in the early '90s. |
|
If the owners had let him, we may have been spared both the Bush presidency AND the Selig era.
I blame Major League Baseball's ownership for everything wrong in this country today.

9. Had he become commissioner, there would be no MLB today. |

10. He couldn't have been a worse commissioner than president. |
|
He doesn't do anything, just hires people (Condi, Rummy) to make decisions for him. His baseball staff would likely have tried to keep the status quo, contrary to his presidential staff.
Everything would have been much better -- or at least not as bad.

But let's not forget, this is the same guy who oversaw the Rangers as they traded Sammy Sosa. :P

MLB.tv blacked out tonight's game.
Sally and I bought MLB.tv for the year, b/c we don't live in New England, and we don't have cable, so we wanted to see as many BoSox games as possible. I was excited about the game, but I don't get to see it :(
