I can't believe I never left the house this weekend.
All I did, for almost 48 hours, is eat, sleep, post on DU and watch old movies!

I hope I get into a more productive mood tomorrow when I have to go back to work. :eyes:

3. Ohhhh that sounds wonderful!
I miss those days (pre-kid, I guess). This weekend Mr. MG was ripping the guts out of the downstairs bathroom, which led to "destruction creep"--in other words, heck, the downstairs bathroom adjoins the mudroom--might as well rip the guts out of that too! Apparently the kitchen wall is next. Plumes of drywall dust permeated the rest of the downstairs. I must mop.

MG Jr. spent 36 of 48 hours taking out every. single. toy. he. owns. (at least, it seemed like it). Yesterday I dragged him outside to make a snowman from the last (we hope) snow this year; today I dragged him to the conservatory in the park. Otherwise we would have all been Spongebob-ed out.

But all I really wanted to do was sit around and watch TV while gorging on Easter candy. 'Twas not to be.

5. Well, I didn't eat any Easter candy... didn't even buy any this year
But I did eat half a pan full of homemade Brownies. That was stupid, really, because I need to lose weight so badly. Oh well.. tomorrow is another day.

Hope you can get some rest!! :hi:

17. I'm in the same boat
I need to lose at least 20 lbs. (although 30 or 40 would be better). But what have I been doing? Eating the kid's bunny pieces (we chopped up all the chocolate bunnies and put the pieces in a bowl)--practically a piece every time I walked through the kitchen--ugh!!

Mmmm homemade brownies...I haven't made those in a while... :9

Augh! See? See what I do? I'm hopeless!

I would love to get some rest, but although Jr. gets tossed into preschool tomorrow, Mr. MG is taking the whole week off for "more destructo". I don't even know how I'm going to get my freelance work done...

Now I know why the top Mother's Day present that moms ask for is for the family to GO AWAY for the day.

9. Me, too, but I've been ill
Edited on Sun Mar-30-08 09:37 PM by Hardhead
Freaking food allergies flaring up again. My lips and tongue are all swollen and my throat is scratchy and my fingers and hands itch abominably. I ate a bunch of benedryls and slept all day. Now I'm wired.

And I can add mangoes to the list of things I'm no longer safe to eat.

10. How awful
I know how difficult it can be to stay away from certain foods. They used to say I had a peanut allergy. It's a long story I won't bore you with. To make it short, I don't have a peanut allergy (that they can test for, anyway!). But the year I spent trying to avoid anything with peanuts was quite a challenge!!

11. I'm glad to hear you don't have that
All food allergies are just wretched. Thanks for listening to me whine, though. It's not boring at all, the subject of allergens. I can eat perhaps a tablespoon of peanut butter once in a blue moon, though I'm taking awful chances if I do. A nurse friend of mine keeps admonishing me to never try it, because the reactions tend to be progressive.

Mostly I'm allergic to preservatives. I have to eat fresh foods. But I seem to react to more things all the time.

14. That must be difficult...
..but healthy, in a way, I guess. Preservatives can't be good for anybody. It makes me angry that they coat apples with that wax (sorry, forgot what it's called). Wish they would just LEAVE OUR FOOD ALONE!!

I've been like that since 3/20. Time to see the doc tomorrow (going to bite the bullet and pay the bill)

19. I wasn't home at all this weekend
and now I'm having a hard time winding down!

I gave up my weekend to a good cause though...I was a proxy delegate at the California State Democratic Convention!

But don't feel bad about your lazy weekend...I do that a LOT!

:hi:

And I hope you enjoyed being a proxy delegate! :D :hi:

22. I did!
It really was fascinating. Three days spent with some of the most powerful Democrats in the country can't be all bad. ;)

Yeah, it's only 9, and I have tomorrow off for Cesar Chavez Day. I love California. :D

21. I've done it before
usually weekends I don't have my son... he won't let me not go anywhere unless he is hypnotized by a video game and then dad needs to get him out so we go.

But several times I've realized I've gone nowhere and not really known where the time went to.

23. I've been trying to plan one single day like that for weeks.
Edited on Sun Mar-30-08 11:11 PM by Prisoner_Number_Six
So far I've been thwarted- I even had four computers on my desk I had to repair on Easter Sunday. Today also being a Sunday I again found myself working on three machines. I have jobs scheduled for both tomorrow and Tuesday- I'm gonna take my phone off the hook on Wednesday and hide in the nearest darkened movie theater.

OTOH, at least I know I'll be able to pay the rent this month...

It's a GREAT thing! Think of all the gas you saved by not driving anywhere. All the money you saved by not going shopping anywhere! All the calories you saved by not eating fast food!

You did good! :hi:

26. Was the weather bad?
That's how I usually justify it to myself. The downside is that when it's nice outside I'm compelled to get off my arse and do something.
