WTF? Fetus found on plane in Houston
HOUSTON (AP) — Authorities are investigating the discovery of what appears to be a fetus in the bathroom of a Continental Airlines plane that arrived in Houston on a flight from New York's LaGuardia Airport.

FBI Special Agent Shauna Dunlap said that while the plane was being cleaned about an hour after the plane landed Sunday, the cleaning crew found the apparent fetus. The medical examiner's office will do an autopsy to determine if it was viable.

Dunlap said that if it is determined that a crime occurred, then the FBI will work with Houston police to determine where it occurred and continue from there.

8. I hope that's all it was.
:(

I feel for the woman. Regardless of the circumstances, that could not have been pleasant.

2. Hi, johnnie...
That's a bit short on details...

Where was it, exactly?

I'm sure it wasn't viable...

I wonder if the woman miscarried in the lavatory?

How bizarre...

5. This story confirms to me that if hell exists, I'm going to be in it
My first reaction was to laugh.

And then feel bad for laughing.

And then laugh a bit more.

Sometimes you see something so weird that laughter is the only reaction that still WORKS, you know?

9. some people just react that way.
My brother is just rotten at funerals, all he does is crack jokes and laughs. The last one I had to keep kicking him in the shins. I'll never sit next to him again.

10. Update: 14 yr old girl, fetus was stillborn, not viable.
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2004317413_applanefetus.html
A 14-year-old girl on a return flight from a middle-school trip delivered a stillborn fetus in the bathroom of an airplane and disposed of it in a waste bin, police said Monday.

The girl, whom police did not identify, said she didn't know she had been pregnant. Preliminary autopsy results indicated the fetus was stillborn and not viable, police said.

"We're dealing with a scared child at this point," investigator Keith Lovelace said.
