Two and a Half Men
I know some people don't like it, but I enjoy it. A lot. Tonight's episode was one of the funniest I've seen in a long time. I guess the writers were thinking about writing even when they weren't actually, uh, writing.

(It can be crude and rude, but still be brilliant. I guess that logic goes for a lot of things. :))

1. I actually saw a few episodes of that show.
My now-ex-roomate was always watching tv. He never turned it off. Not even to sleep.

The episodes that I saw were pretty funny. Kind of crude, but in a way that wasn't too offensively crude. It was good.

2. It's one of the few shows that my wife and I both like
I can actually get her to watch reruns of it, which is unheard of.

I'll be sure to tune in tonight (west coast time).

3. It's on the racy side
but all the double entendres work overtime. Some good sight gags, too, especially on the part of Ryan Stiles' part as Herb, Judith's new husband. I wouldn't consider letting a pre-teen watch it, though--you'd have to try to explain WAY too much! (Then again, a pre-teen shouldn't be watching too much of that show in general!)

4. Agreed. Not a show to watch with my parents either.
My dad would laugh, but my mom would have a stroke.

5. That's my favorite sitcom.
I don't watch a lot of TV but that's one show I try not to miss. I don't usually enjoy kids in shows, but I love that kid--a great character. Ironically, I first learned about that show when my mother watched it, but then in the last year or so she stopped watching it because she said now it was only about sex. And I was thinking, wasn't it always?

12. Exactly!
Yes, sex is the main storyline, but the characters are just so well drawn out. I think I fell in love with Berta very early, simply because she won't take any shit from anyone! I remember Conchata Ferrell having a very morose character on another show some years ago, and I was glad to see her doing something which was fun and funny.

Strangely enough--or perhaps not so strangely!--Charlie Sheen seems to have influenced his character from his real-life, rather messed up love life.

And I'm glad to see Alan's life is beginning to do better with women: I guess finally they are moving away from him being a sad sack--and a pathetic one at that!

Having a "child" being a main character can be an outright dangerous proposition, but Jake is near perfect as a regular kid. My nephew is in the same general age group, and "Jake" lives in so many kids, including my nephew, to a T.

6. I think it's hilarious.
Sometimes I cringe when Alan opens his mouth (what a way to screw up a good thing that guy found tonight), but his utter ineptness with women is almost as funny as Charlie's cracks and antics. Remember when Alan tried to score at the DMV by giving up his waiting number to a hottie in a hurry?

7. I like it, but...
in a couple of years, they're going to have to retitle that show "3 Men". That kid is growing up fast.

8. Best sitcom ever. I love that show.
Very, very funny. And the constant stream of hot women coming through that show doesn't hurt.

9. They shoot that show right next to the building I work in. As a matter
of fact, one of the hairdressers ran into my car last year!!

11. Sure, the show can be funny, but here's the real reason I watch it.

(glad she's back)

One day, I hope to have my own beautiful stalker.

13. Melanie is cool!
We can't have Charlie discover his undying love to her, though, at least not for a few more years. Maybe they should shoot a two or three episode arc, keep it in the can, and have it ready when they decide it's over. That way, the resolution is made, and we can enjoy wrapping up the show.

BTW, if you haven't already, you should check out Heavenly Creatures and Ever After. The first is Melanie's break-out role, and the second puts her into a whole different context as well.
