Pizza is Italian for pie... The standard pizza (unless its deep dish) is not a pie at all.. so our pizza is not actually a true Pizza.

As for an "American pizza" most people will agree anything goes... there is no rule book on American pizza pie...

Pizza crust w/ Alfredo sauce instead of tomato sauce. Add grilled or roast chicken topping. Add Broccoli, I would assume raw (it cooks when it bakes).

Cheese topping optional because of the heavy cheese sauce?

15. My favourite pizza is homemade. Top pizza crust with tomato sauce,

ham slices, artichoke hearts and cheese. Yummy.
