Update on my Mom and thank you...

Hi all...

As of this morning, my brother said he thought my Mom was 50% better than yesterday, which I'm ok with, as I was so worried about her getting through the night with possible fluid in her lungs. The Dr sent in her refills, she got the amitryptiline (sp?) today, which is good too, and they sent the Rilutek script, b/c VA Meds By Mail, req. a paper script, and we can't afford the $1000/month out of pocket without the VA.

Also they are scheduling her for an appt asap, but that might be a week or 3, as they are a very specialized practice that serves much of the ALS community for NE. Keep your fingers crossed.

I'm still worried, but trying to maintain. I don't even know how Dad is, we've been so wrapped up in Mom the past 2 days. If he was doing badly I'd know by now though. One thing at a time, I'll call my lil Brother tomorrow and find out, after he gets home from work. He talks with Dad every day.

Thank you to all of my friends that have offered their good wishes both publicly and privately. I'm sorry if I haven't gotten back to PMs, I'm just so...occupied! Between family and school and marriage and pets, I'm swamped. But, I love y'all.

You should look at the cancer support group for my thread if you want to know what's up. I know ALS isn't cancer.. but you certainly can find support there.
