The Twins visit the Rockies for three games in the middle of May! The Twins will finish NO BETTER than 159-3!

14. If by "in," you mean "in," then... You may have to explain the meaning of "in." |
|
The Twins very well could win that series. It all depends on how the Rockies are playing and who pitches. So the Twins CAN win it.
They just won't. :P
Depending on what this so-called gentleman's bet (if we can so be called), I will be IN!

Torii was O fer today! He did make a good play in the outfield. I got subjected to the Angels commentators though...

15. That kid who replaced Hunter looked impressive! |
|
I just wish Santana and Hunter would've been able to stick around for the opening of the new stadium.
As a native Minnesotan, I still have a soft spot for the Twinkies, and I'm glad they won't be playing in that hideous dome much longer.

18. Carlos Gomez had a great game! |
|
Much better game than Torii Hunter.
I too, wish Hunter and Santana could have been here for the grand opening. But I think, as far as team chemistry goes, Santana started to become a liability when Luis Castillo was traded to the Mets last year. He was VERY unhappy about that trade.

21. Yeah, that's true enough |
|
Trading Castillo was kind of dumb to begin with. Imagine a healthy Liriano and Santana at the top of that rotation with Nathan to close it out...sigh...
It's too painful to cheer for the Twins. The only homegrown players they've kept in my lifetime have been Hrbek and Kirby. Well, and Brad Radke. It's too much watching all that great talent go elsewhere. When I moved to St Louis, it was easy to jump on the Cards bandwagon. Big payroll, great core of players...they'll be better than people think this year.
Go Cardinals!!...but win Twins!

22. It pisses me off to no end that Pohlad is a far more wealthy man than Steinbrenner |
|
and could afford to keep his marquee players. But he hurts the team year after year by being such a tightwad. Until there is some sort of salary cap in baseball, teams like the Twins are going to develop good players that will end up getting huge contracts with the Yankees, the BoSox, and the Mets.

I guess I was supposed to post a spoiler warning before I did the woohoo dance about the Cubs scoring three runs on Milwaukee in the bottom of the ninth.
