My hometown SUCKS

Today we voted on a Prop 2.5 overrride - just found out it failed. This means:

1 Fire station closing
4 Firefighters laid off
2 Police laid off
1 elementary school closing
14 teachers laid off
new school bus fee $200/student
athletic fee increase from $200/sport to $400/sport

I am so done living in this hellhole, if it wasn't for the fact that I still have one in school and my husband is a Firefighter so we have to live in town, I'd be outta here.

4. They're fucking cheap and they HATE unions. The average

annual tax increase with the override would be $200. Yes, times are tough but get rid of all that for $200???
