If Skinner eliminated the emoticons for a week, could you cope?

How would you deal with it? Would you appropriate your own online somewhere and use them? Could you effectively express yourself without fear of being misunderstood? Would you post photos of expressive faces from movies, etc.? Would you tough it out or would you just fall apart?

I use the *spray* smilie when someone's surprised and tickled the hell out of me. I sort of rely on *WTF?* I also use the *wow*, the *nuke* and the big open-mouth-smile one. I think I would probably be OK. *wink*.
