$1200 receiver vs. Madrone |
|
Receiver wins.

One should NOT need a Phd in "Yamaha" to get an a/v receiver functioning properly.
That is all.

1. I guess I should add.... |

Any a/v gurus willing to weigh in would be appreciated.
I did manage to get music playing through fronts - but no subwoofer. Crappy sounding music, I might add - much worse than the cheapie Sony receiver everything was (and is again) connected to. Audio for the tv (through digital cable box) could barely be heard, but there WAS a horribly loud buzzing sound.
There are so many freaking inputs/outputs on the back I'm SURE there's got to be a glory hole hidden in there somewhere - ffs!
One (of MANY) things I'm wondering about.... how do I know what +/- db level to set speakers and the sub to? I'm only looking to get the 2 fronts and sub set up at this point.
