My brain is fried...5.5 hour Econometrics study group today...
They just left...This midterm is the most difficult test I've EVER had. And, we're not even done, 1 question left. Out of 16.

We're meeting again to finish it in the morning. I feel like I'm gonna die. And I still have to recopy everything I did today in a readable fashion before tomorrow.

Ow. x(

1. Ah econometrics. By far the most difficult course I took in college
I did manage to get an "A" but I had to work my ass off for it.

Let's hear it for linear regression models!

4. I'm assuming you're an econ major?
Because why else would someone torture themselves with that course?!?!

Seriously if you can get past this class you can handle anything else that comes your way.

5. I absolutely am...hardest. class. ever.
And, the smartest people in my class agree! I'm doing fine on the Labs (analysis using the STATA software), and I'm not worried at all about the research paper. This test is killing me though. UGH!

Thankfully, there's no final. :D

3. My brain hurts just THINKING about econometrics.
I'm sure you'll do great on it, though.

6. I did okay in econometrics. I studied hard and the exam wasn't that bad. Just
make sure you have memorized all the formulas. Even the ones the prof just touched on once. It will be okay.

8. This was our only exam, and it was a take home...thank god
All we have left is a couple more labs and our research papers. Whew!

12. I never had to do a research paper. Sounds like it has gotten much harder.

13. We just have to pick a hypothesis to test, find data sets,
load them into STATA, run regressions and stuff, analyze it and write a paper/present to the class.

14. Ouch. I took the course twenty years ago. I no longer know what you
are talking about except the part about regressions.

15. Hehe, y'know, like testing to see if the coefficient of the variable is
significant, i.e. does not equal zero (hypothesis testing) or to test if the entire model is significant. STATA is a stat analysis software package that makes my life SO much easier. I can't f'n wait for this semester to be over.

:hi:

9. After doing Stats for 10.5 hours, I doubt I could change one...
I can barely walk across the room, I'm mentally and physically exhausted. Dayum. Math really takes it out of you!

And now I'm not even excited to peruse my new book: "Introduction to Mathematical Economics"... *pout*

Maybe I'll get excited when I get its big brother tomorrow: "Fundamental Methods of Mathematical Economics"

Yes, I'm sick in the head, I know...

Econometrics was the only part of economics which I didn't enjoy at all.
