Lounge vibes (and $) needed
Last night, a fire ripped through a large apartment building in an inner city neighborhood here in Manchester. Most of the residents were low income, and several of them are immigrants. They lost everything. Over 100 residents were affected by this disaster.

I spent several hours last night and this morning doing what i could to help my neighbors out, delevering food and water to the temporary shelter and arranging for some bus passes for families who lost theit vehicles in the fire. Now I am asking for a hand.

If you can spare 5 or 10 bucks, please pass it along to the Manchester Red Cross, which is coordinating the recovery effort.

If you can't, please send some of those Lounge Vibes to the families from the 99 Pearl St. apartments. They'tre good folks who need every bit of support we can muster.

4. I donated
I was affected by a fire (completely lost my home) when I was 22 years old and had a 3 month old baby, the day before Thanksgiving. I dont know what I would have done, or how I would have made it through the tragedy were it not for the kindness of strangers.

I feel honored to pay back a bit of the generousity that was extended to me under the same circumstances.

5. Oh wow, that's terrible.
I feel so awful for those people, the picture where they are all just standing watching, I cannot imagine what that feels like... I will definitely send some money to the Red Cross for them. Thanks for posting this.

6. Thank you all!
This is going to be rough stretch for a lot of people, but the local service providers are really stepping up and doing what needs to be done. Gov. Lynch stopped by the shelter this afternoon and committed the state to do whatever it could to get these families back on their feet.

Thank you again to all of you for your donations, thoughts and prayers.
