Anyone caught John Adams on HBO? |
|
I saw part 1 last night because I'm a big Paul Giamatti fan, and I gotta admit, it reminds even a jaded, bitterly cynical political junkie like me why I love this country. :patriot:
Anybody else catch it?

Great show!
Giamatti and Linney are fantastic as John and Abigail Adams.

I think they are on 3rd or 4th episode of the series. New runs are on Sunday nights. Try to catch em all.
You know its "political junkie" time when you tear up during the first inaugeration. I don't think that is normal.

The best thing is they portray the founding fathers as heroic but very human and flawed characters. I think it does give a good sense of the times.

14. My dear SteppingRazor! |
|
We've been watching it from the beginning, and I am completely enthralled!
The music at the closing credits makes me shiver and cry...
When I consider just what we have allowed our country to become...
Well, that makes me cry too, and not the good kind of tears...
This series is the best historical recreation that I have ever seen, bar none!
