2. Are you up to the nautical circle; or whatever their recognition society is?
You know how if you've cruised 15 days you become a captain, 30 days you're the admiral or something like that?

and if I can get my sister and her family and maybe even my brother and his family to all go the same time, it would be fantastic

15. the only cruises I've been on have been with my whole family
there's like 18 of us rolling into the lido deck. My grandparents like it because we're all in the same place.

21. They talked more about the ports than the ship itself
They did mention that the balcony they had was fantastic. Good gym too. They said that the food wasn't as good as the Holland cruises we've been on.

22. hubby said the gym was fantastic
We love the ports,

but the ship was awesome. I wanted a balcony but hubby wanted a promanade view so that is what we did. It was pretty neat.

I thought the food was great, but they did not have baked alaska and I wanted that

23. My parents said that the absence of baked Alaska was conspicuous
actually they're less pretentious than I am so they probably just said that they noticed it was missing and were disappointed.

24. I think that although the ship was awesome, the bigness of it causes some of the neat
touches to be lost?

We are going on Majesty which when built was one of the biggest, but now its the smallest family and I believe the personal touches we fell in love with will be back?

25. When are they going to start refurbishing U.S. aircraft carriers to use as cruise ship?
My dad showed me a travel channel episode on "freedom" that he taped. I wasn't that interested. I don't know how much I want to walk through a huge shopping mall every time I wanted some jello.

27. On the Holland America ship Ryndam they had this awesome library
It was like the full media center where they have music stations and all that jazz. It was located in the middle of the ship so every time you sat down there was always a family member who'd walk by and visit eventually. I liked hanging out there.

11. We are doing the viking river cruises through the Netherlands,
Ten days of windmills and tulips. We have done some very nice 'Holland-America' cruises but this will be on a much smaller scale.
I can't wait to see the rivers and canals of Europe.

Have a great trip!

I'm eagerly waiting our 13-night Galveston to Barcelona voyage in a few weeks. It's a small birthday treat from my boyfriend. We're also doing the "Project Genesis" inaugural in the fall of 2009.

In that ship picture above, I can spot our balcony! lol

:)

18. June 2009 Mariner of the Seas
Taking two of my grandchildren on their first cruise. We're taking the Mariner 7 night Mexican Riviera. I will miss the Monarch--I went platinum on her 3 and 4 night Baja cruises. I love cruising on RC! Enjoy!

28. *sigh* I haven't been on a cruise since the last time I was pregnant.
And he's been out of diapers for awhile. 4 cruises in my lifetime and pregnant for 3 of them. That just isn't right. I so want to go on another one...provided it is either just me and my husband or they have excellent children's programs.

30. Oh, it's not the availability of kids programming.
It's the availability of a free week and a few thousand dollars. I live really close to a cruise terminal so I don't even need to factor in airfare.
