Picture thread.
Ali and went up to Battle Mountain Nevada area to collect at the Pixie Mine. This portion of the mine produces a turquoise like mineral called Faustite. The difference is that instead of copper being the major component, with Faustite it's zinc. I wet the vein I was working on for photographic reasons.

The Pixie mine is on the foothill top just right center of this picture of the Cortez Mountain range.

Wild Horses of Tonopah County Nevada

3. There is sooo much to see in the Southwest
Ali and me have logged no less then 10,000 miles in the last three years and miss so much on every trip. We are now going to concentrate on small geographic areas with no more the 5 hours drive time per day. Our next trip will to the southwest will follow this plan.
