Photo Thread: Last picture you took.
Last frame on my camera had no people in it I'm afraid. I took this at the natural history museum at the University of Florida. They have an amazing butterfly conservatory.

What is the last picture you took?

It's free.

After that, click on the text under your image.

I like the one labeled Direct Link.

I hope this helps, laylah.

Edited on Fri Apr-04-08 07:44 PM by Pacifist Patriot
Was someone you love on board? Were you hoping to catch sight of a buxom hottie? Were you annoying Homeland Security? Just curious about why the photo was taken. I think it's a cool shot actually.

Why is it that my 11 year old breaks my pewter letter opener given to me as a gift at my ordination, apologizes profusely, I simply respond, "thank you." and he goes all batshit with, "you're acting like such an asshole about it."

Does that give me leave to beat his sorry little ass?

I'd suggest letting him know that he's hit that prepubescent moody phase, that he's not going to take it out on you, and that if he does it again you're locking him in the basement until he's 25.

74. We didn't see any gators on this creek but
we saw a few on other streams we paddled. We had both of our dogs with us, so I was a little concerned what would happen because our dogs have never seen gators before. But it was okay.

The weather was unseasonably cool, so I think that slowed the gators down. We didn't see any snakes at all.

I hate spiders and snakes :-).

Well, your home in the states is absolutely gorgeous!! We're going to continue to head down there every March now that we're retired and can still paddle. We paddled the Oklawaha River for about five hours. I could have gone there every single day and not get tired of it.

My aunt does that, she has such patience, her butterfly pictures are amazing. She taught me how to take macro pictures and now I have really gross shots of grubs and stuff :puke:

I just had a coincidence on my trip last week- I found a neat t-shirt for my husband with an owl on it, then my friend gave me this big wooden oil they were using for decoration in the Diesel store he works at, so it was FREE :headbang: and it looks almost exactly like the t-shirt.. nearly weird I swear.
I'm crazy about animals though, any of them. I love the owls, even though they eat sparrows and I really love sparrows!

I have a feeling I'm gonna take some good bug shots the next few days, and maybe share them with the lounge :headbang:

40. Yep. Those are my two newest instruments
Edited on Fri Apr-04-08 08:19 PM by DarkTirade
up until a few months ago I'd only owned an acoustic guitar. Now I have an electric bass that I got for christmas, and an electric guitar that I just bought the two weeks ago today. :)

I started with classical violin and voice, and I've dabbled with keyboard and a few renaissance instruments. All in all, if you divide every instrument I've ever played, you either get 7 including voice, or 12 if you count keyboard and piano as seperate, different sizes of recorder as seperate instruments, electric and acoustic guitar as seperate, ect.

I also made a flute out of PVC when I was bored and I had some laying around. :P I find it easier to play a flute without a mouthplate than with, despite the fact that the mouthplate thingy is s'posed to make it easier. I guess I'm just wierd like that.

98. He made it out okay -- amazingly
Fortunately, for him, he fell asleep in front of the TV downstairs, instead of in his bedroom. He had put a wood burning stove in his bedroom, using a dryer vent.

Our houses are on the same property, and his is about 50' from ours. Both are old wooden houses, and he had 50mph winds that night. We're lucky our house didn't go up, too. Same for the two barns here. It was a scary, scary night. Haruka went out afterwards and took a ton of pictures of the wreckage.

How are your kitties doing, btw?

60. Of all nights, I can't believe you're asking this.
Fresh off the presses from three hours ago:

What a way to start a weekend. The flood started 3 floors above us and ended 3 floors below us. Massive damage for a new condo building. There's more, but I'd rather not raise my rage even more.

109. Yeah, pretty much.
I wasn't able to sleep Friday night, for fear there would be a fire.

Hopefully, by Monday, we'll have some answers from the Condo board.

Thanks for the "best wishes"!

What you may have thought were butterflies or flowers are actually Daleks, and it seems that they've acquired some sort of massive computer. All of that added up = super bad news.

114. We recently moved in from a real dump...
...and are determined to keep this place nice.

The lute was built for me to play twenty-ahem years ago in a college production of guess-which-play? It is barely functional, and the strings have never been replaced--but I love it.

86. This is not the very last photo that I took,
but nobody wants to see the last one.

I live in an old farmhouse and have never been able to find and seal all the holes. Consequently, I get little furry visitors from time to time.

Last weekend I was awoken at about 4AM by sounds coming from my kitchen. Upon investigation I discover a little brown mouse trying to steal a nut off my counter and having trouble getting it to his lair. I got the trap from behind the refrigerator (hence the dust) baited it with some peanut butter and set it on top of the stove. Not 10 seconds later, with the lights on and the camera flash going, he attacks.

Is that a mouse or something else? Never saw a two-tone mouse before, if that's what it is/was.

103. !!!WARNING!!! Dog rescuer here and this one might be hard to look at for some...

Meet Atticus Finch. He was listed as an 11 year old in the shelter. His previous owner dumped him there. He is so sweet but in so much pain. It hurts him to be touched. He is only 4 years old at the most and resting comfortably tonight. We hope to know what his skin condition is by Monday and get him on the correct treatment.

This is Blossom and she is the sweetest girl. Very playful and somewhat of a clown.
