As for my absence of late: For the past week and a half I've been having a major depression/anxiety episode. It came out of nowhere and kept getting worse until finally I went to the local urgent-care place. The doctor I saw there suggested I get tested for hyperthyroidism, and two days later my regular doctor said yeah, you should. Haven't had it done yet, though, because I've been too shaky and utterly lacking the energy to drive to the lab.

I've been feeling like hell ran over me, stopped to see what the bump was, then backed up and did it again. I got a bit of a lift, though, from all the birthday stuff — especially the Monty Python references. (Does everybody at DU know I'm a Python geek?) :D

soon! And hyperthyroidism? Get that checked right away. Easy blood test, easy (cheap) treatment, but serious if you don't take care of it. After all, your thyroid is your body's regulator.
