But Norris wasn't laughing when he learned that condoms were being passed out in Ashland with a pen-and-ink drawing of him warning people to use condoms. The text on the altered condom packaging had a message like, "Chuck always wears a condom, otherwise people would die," according to Paul Robinson, community relations director for Planned Parenthood in Medford.

"That was the basic message. I can't say what the exact words were because all of the condoms have been destroyed," Robinson said.

He said Southern Oregon University students who volunteer at Planned Parenthood in Ashland altered the packaging on about 60 condoms and handed out 50 on campus.

Robinson said he doesn't know how Norris found out about the condoms.

"It could be that someone who's anti-Planned Parenthood notified him. But we really don't know," he said.

Robinson said attorneys representing Norris contacted the national Planned Parenthood office, who in turn contacted the Ashland office.
