What the hell is wrong with people these days- why are they such assholes? RANT

Ok, I am driving to town and a pickup pulls out in front of me. No big deal, he could have waited but didn't. The speed limit is 55mph but he never got above 45, luckily there was a passing zone so I proceeded to attempt to pass. When I hit 80mph I figured he was not going to allow me to pass him & the passing zone was ending. I fell in behind him where he promptly slowed back down to 45mph. I eventually passed him but WHY do people do crap like that? What if I were a homicidal maniac and didn't keep my cool? What if I was trying to get a sick person to the hospital? Why are people like that? Why can't they go through the day without fucking with people? Are they proud to be assholes? Is there some kind of pleasure to be derived from screwing with strangers? All I can say is I hope he runs into someone someday who isn't as calm as I am, I hope it scares the shit out of him.

It just reinforces my opinion that a LOT of people suck.
