Apprarently, I'm not allowed to slap our clients.
So I'm doing this guy's taxes, and he's a U.S. citizen who works fulltime in Sweden (he's back visiting family for two weeks). Turns out the guy was laid off by his Swedish company, so the government there provided him with a financial package to start his own small business in Sweden.
Now can you imagine if there were a law here in the states that required American taxpayers to provide start-up funds for unemployed foreign workers, so they could start companies to be in direct competition with Americans?
But that's not why I wanted to slap the guy. It was when he started to run down the "socialist" government in Sweden and to say things like, "You really don't appreciate how free you are until you leave it behind. They're just not free over there."
Ungrateful moron...

Or not free to sprawl across the nearest grate downtown?
A pretty aggravating asshole you had there.

Obviously retired, well dressed, and republican.
He asked, "Explain to me how a country with 96% employment can possibly be in a recession". If he's seen the surge of people the last few months looking for a job there, he might have an idea.

When former assembly-line workers are begging for a job delivering pies, you know times are tough.
