Anyone Here Take Coral Calcium? |
|
Does anyone here take Coral Calcium? I was thinking about taking calcium tablets once a day and was curious if anyone here benefits from it. If so, any brand or kind I should consider? I know I don't want the tea but there are so many to choose from, I have no idea where to start. Thanks!

1. Get calcium citrate instead. |

Better absorption and less risk of ingesting heavy metals. :)

Do you take one capsule a day? Have you noticed any differences? I am curious to hear about the benefits to see if its worth it. How long have you taken it and did you think it has helped? Thanks again!

4. Well, it depends what you're taking it for. |

I take it as part of a multivitamin to support metabolic function (I'm diabetic). I was taking calcium citrate and magnesium citrate by themselves for awhile before I got on this good multi, and did notice my muscles feeling better (less fatigue, less pain after working out) so it was positive for me. The ideal ratio is close to 2:1 calcium to magnesium, and you can often find combinations, though keep an eye out for both being citrate, if you go that route. It's easier on your stomach if you take them with some food, as the magnesium can have a slight laxative effect.
Do you have any naturapathic doctors in your area? I'd recommend finding (a certified) one if you're really interested in using vitamins and supplements to treat yourself. :)

I basically want to add it to my vitamin regime ( i take only a few vitamins ) but have heard that coral calcium has many health benefits. I have not been diagnosed with diabetes but it runs in my family and I am beginning to wonder if I have the symptoms. I may be worrying but I only recently started eating a bit more healthy and exercising more.I have a physical coming up at the end of July and have already been working on a list of questions for my Doc. I didn't want to wait until then to start taking it if it had some benefits. Many Thanks for your replies!
