Real life imitates Star Trek
Edited on Mon Apr-07-08 01:46 AM by pokerfan
Watching The Enterprise Incident. To recap, Kirk orders the ship to enter Romulan space for no particular reason. I had to laugh out loud at this exchange:

SCOTT: We've not got many choices.
KIRK: We have three. We can fight and be destroyed, or we can destroy the Enterprise ourselves and keep her from the Romulans. Or we can surrender. Opinions, gentlemen.
SCOTT: If the Enterprise is taken by Romulans, they'll know everything there is to know about a starship.
SPOCK: If we had not crossed the Neutral Zone, on your order, you would not now need our opinions to support a decision which should never have had to be made.

Where was Spock in 2003?

1. That episode stunk.
Had plot holes I could fly a starship through.

Was Star Trek's version of the 60's Pueblo incident.

3. Oh yeah...
(Skips obvious jokes about photon torpedoes and nacelles, not to mention impulse engines...) :-)

18. I liked it. One of Season Three's better episodes.
And there were some real clunkers there.

5. I wanted to kick this
because it got side tracked. My original point was the obvious parallel to the Iraq war.

At least in my mind. Of course, Kirk was working under secret orders to steal the cloaking device. Dubya has no such excuse.

Every thread gets sidetracked to innuendo, it is inevitable.

12. And where was Spock before they crossed the Neutral Zone?
We had plenty of Spocks around in 2003. We just didn't have anyone interested in listening to logic.
