You can't keep the road kill for food either.
(I had a friend who had a deer-car collision on 93, and the cop told him that he couldn't have the deer for meat. Not that he had asked, mind you. ;) )

All in all, he was lucky. It could've been much worse.
I knew a bicyclist that got a broken hip from hitting a fucking squirrel that came outa nowhere. Bummer.

I had one stand in front of my car in the middle of a back road. I swear that sucker stared me in the eye before it made its way up a hill--not as quickly as you would think.
