Need to self-enforce a hiatus from DU...again
Sometimes knowing too much isn't a good thing. I need to force myself to take yet another break from DU. Watching the country turn rabidly right-wing has been like watching a train wreck in slow motion. I know it's horrible, but I can't take my eyes off it. I'm well enough informed to at least know I won't vote for the chimp and his cronies.

Unfortunately, my health is very bad currently...diabetes is now out of control. Ungh. I need to route my mind away from anger and hatred toward love. And that's hard to do when I look into the eyes of the chimp or hear what latest nasty thing he's done.

I'm leaving now.

3. I have diabetes too
It's a bummer to be an insulin junkie. In fact, my little pump is beeping right now, damnit.

And the fact that I got it at 14 has seriously inhibited my ability to pile up those tax free dollars in my "health care savings account."

Take care,
Jeanette

4. You could stick strickly to the lounge. It is less argumentative than....
anything to do with politics.

Also, they are about to do an ungrade so you can turn off 2004 from the Latest News page.

Your health has to come first of course. Good luck!

5. I'm sorry. I have it too
It's under control for now but yea I take a break too when I reach information overload for the same reason. And the fact that there are so few who actually understand this disease. Hope you feel better soon.
