Since I am not made out of money, I have been looking at various scholarships to help fund my education. I've decided that I deeply sympathize for the people who have to read the essays required for most of them.
Most of the topics are so incredibly lame - I feel like I'm in 5th grade English class again. "Write a 2 page essay on the importance of visionary leaders in our society." :eyes:

As an undergrad, I won a couple of those contests...
My only advice is to think locally instead of writing about well-known national leaders. And steer clear of cliches.
Good luck! If you need anyone to proof or critique your essay, I'd love to help you!

4. You could write that maybe one reason why we're so fucked up |
|
is because we're so fixated on "visionary leaders." I think we're suffering from a surfeit of visionary leadership. I think we could do with a lot less vision and a lot more practicality. Fewer leaders and more people who know how to run stuff.
