old timer checking back in.....

hello all...been a while since i posted anything of significance here..lots of reasons for that, the biggest being a heart attack in late february this year....years of cheeseburgers and Marlboro's, high stress, sleeplessness....you can build a christmas list with all the reasons...but good genes have prevailed and by the grace of a higher power i am here, 30lbs lighter and getting healthier by the day...courtesy of 5 heart stints, a pacemaker and a low fat, low salt, no sugar diet....i have a new lease on life. first and foremost, without trying to be preachy, please watch what you eat...watch your cholesterol and fat intake...watch your blood sugar and beware of signs for diabetes...most of all, stop smoking.....that being said, if there are any of the old timers left, feel free to check in here...i'm talking from january 20th, 2001 or thereabouts....even new folks....i have been proud to post on this wonderful site since shrubs first inauguration and i am happy i will be able to continue to post with my fellow progressives for many more years. whatever our differences here, we all have the same task in mind...to get those mindless republican robots the hell out of office, get this country back to what it's supposed to be, and restore a little bit of sanity back to our government.....i am again, happy to be back and look forward to catching up.....sincerly...richard...aka:rppper
