So I'm going for it...Doing the Senior Honors Thesis
Got approval from my Dept Chair this morning. Going to start my research and reading as soon as the semester ends, work with my adviser over the Summer, so I'll be ahead of the curve since I have 3 other classes in the Fall. And, I already have two thesis buddies lined up!

Not sure what my thesis will be on specifically yet...I'm thinking about Risk Analysis and Decision Making with regard to Plagiarism in the Undergraduate community. My Dept Chair thinks it's a cool idea.

Thanks to all who gave advice the other night. :hi:

2. Good Luck!
:hi:

You can do anything as long as you put your mind to it and work hard. I am sure you will do both.

4. I am ready! I think having the summer to work on it will be a big help
Which means I might not do that other thing. That's ok though.

6. Uh-huh. I can see the thread a month from now:
"I was offered teh intership AND I'm working on the thesis!! Oh noez!!"

If it happens, you'll find a way to do both. Betcha betcha. ;-)

7. I don't think I really wanna do both...
One reason being, teh internship is 9-5, M-F, and those hours are most likely the time that I'll be able to work with my Prof. I'm going to discuss it with her tomorrow. :)

10. That is a great subject.
If you don't do that one, maybe you can do one on loss aversion and why just missing a bus gives so much more pain than just making it to the bus stop on time gives pleasure.

Only try to phrase it more elegantly, 'kay?

I'm going to try to talk some local econ grad student into studying whether the houses along Klickitat Street are priced any higher than those on their neighboring streets due to a Beverly Cleary effect.

Anyway, congratulations!

18. Fascinating topic.
It seems to be becoming more of an issue (over here at least), and watching students' and universities' response would be intriguing.
