1. It is one of the true joys in life!
I'm trying to read through the large pile of books I already have so I can order more.

15. That was pretty funny - considering that the Amazon list goes up to #15,
I'd say this particular review does a lot of one-handed reading...

9. There's that new book smell, too
It's kind of freaky, but the last book I ordered, before I began actually reading it, for some hours you would of found me fondling and smelling it. lol That wording does sound freaky.

11. That's the one!
It'd be interesting to hear which ones were your favorites, when you're done.

Enjoy.

14. Long time no reply to
and I would have to agree, there is nothing quite like handling a new (or old) book in one's hands after tearing it open after it gets here (finally).

16. I really, really prefer browsing in bookstores.
Ordering books online just isn't the same experience.

I miss being able to just go into a bookstore and browse whenever I wanted. Now I have to plan out when and where and how i'm going to get there, and if it's accessible, and I can only buy as many books as I can balance on my lap the whole way home.

Gone are the days of walking out of bookstores loaded down with two large bags of books in each hand.

17. I was just reminiscing tonight with Oedi about my fond memories of my hometown library
and how I could still remember the ornately carved banisters and the smell of the old books when you walked into the building. It's a war museum now :( and I bet they've gutted out all the beautiful old wood and fixed the funky uneven floors. My mom was the bookmobile driver and every other week they'd make a stop in our neighborhood but as cool as a bookmobile is, it's just not the same as a beautiful old building filled with uneven stacks of books running in every direction like a big jumbled maze. Sweet, sweet memories.
