I think I just got a boyfriend but I'm not sure how.
This guy asked me out yesterday- let's just call him Shawn. The first thing that came to mind to say was, "Why the hell do you like me?" but instead I said, "Ok, sure." So now we're going out, apparently.

There's this guy who me and "Shawn" are both friends with. Let's call him... Jeff. All three of us and some other people play cards at lunch. So I was talking to "Jeff" today- or mostly he was talking about some video game he liked- and then he left and I started talking to one of my other friends. Let's call her Sarah. So "Sarah" asked me if I was going out with "Jeff". And I said, "No, I'm going out with Shawn. Me and Jeff are just friends."
But I hate that phrase, though. It's like you're friends with somebody, but that's, oh, just that? That's it? Like being friends isn't important or something. I think it would be sadder if two people were just dating and weren't friends. Shawn and Jeff are my friends. If Shawn wasn't my friend I wouldn't go out with him.

4. I guess I was just surprised.
Our conversations up to that point had mostly gone like this: "My monster destroys your monster!" "Aha, but I activate this trap card! You loose 500 life points!" "But my spell card cancels out your trap!" "I sacrifice my monster to summon a dragon!" "This spell blocks any dragons from being summoned to the feild!"

Also, in real life, I'm not as articulate because I get angry kinda quickly.

Hugs to you too:  :hi:

11. Um
Not really pertaining to the thread at hand, although I can relate to this as those that I know online do express to me their belief that I'm somewhat articulate. In real life this isn't the case so much, although I wouldn't say I have a short fuse - more I'm quite shy and sensitive to how I'm perceived, so I feel a pressure to say something and to say something "right". Here, there's no one but myself, I can pause, no one is aware at this point that I'm writing this.

To close, my best wishes.

7. Yeah, that "just friends" thing is awkward
It doesn't sound right - friends are great and shouldn't have a "just" in front of them. Maybe, "me and Jeff are great friends but I'm going out with Shawn."
