we still talk about the number of "shopping days" left till X? Way back when stores were closed on Sundays and 24/7 internet shopping wasn't even yet a fantasy, that expression made sense. But now, now so much. A shopping day is a day. Oh, I know--it's to reinforce your patriotic duty to shop shop shop buy buy buy spend spend spend.
