Latest sign of the apocalypse: the return of Schlitz
Original Formula Schlitz Coming Back to Chicago!!

Posted by Bob Skilnik on April 5, 2008

I can’t wait! This is the beer I was raised on, long before certain people at Schlitz got greedy, leading to Schlitz beer becoming known as “Schitz” beer.

The end is nighish.

4. Now I'm confused
When I was a teenager "riding the bull" referred to drinking Schlitz Malt Liquor. Then it quietly went away and "riding the bull" began to mean you were drinking Red Bull.

Now I don't know what in God's name it means.

5. Now it means you must drink both.
In a single beverage.

Yum, yum, drink it up!

7. Yum is hardly the word
But there is a bit of yin and yang in the idea of combining the two.

6. My grandmother was an alcoholic who drank herself
to death with Schlitz beer during the day, whiskey at night.

Maybe the gubmint is bringing it back for population control purposes. Hell, it worked on my gram.

The end is near, indeed.

Is this post thread-killer worthy?

Sorry Dude.

12. I remember hearing great things about
a bar in New Orleans that had $1.00 draft beer - being college students, we rushed over and grabbed a seat - then found that the 1.00 draft was Stroh's and Schlitz...

It was a low point in my life.

19. i don't think i could drink another stroh's beer.
when i was in high school, i spent my summers working on a farm. the farmer i worked for always kept an open case of warm stroh's cans in the pickup truck for us when the days work winds down. not only was it warm stroh's, he got it from the distributer cheap because it was past expiration date beer sent back from the stores! even after a day of baling hay in 100° heat it tasted like piss.

15. As a citizen of WI I have a few nasty things to say about that
first of all Schlitz screwed it's Milwaukee retirees out of the medical coverage on their pensions which I think should be criminal to promise employees a benefit for life and then take it away and secondly CHICAGO? fuck them. Milwaukee isn't good enough? Fuck them again and their nasty assed beer.

That seems like a strange name for a beer.
