The only real problem with that hairstyle on your head is that your hair's three feet long. If you pull all of it up like the model has, you're going to have to tie a brick to your navel ring as a counterweight.

So try this--it will require help to accomplish, and wait till AFTER this is set to do your makeup.

First, brush all your hair to the back of your head.

Next, use the tail of a rattail comb to divide your hair at about the top of your ears. Take everything above your ears and pull it forward. Hold onto this part. (Now you see why you do your hair first: you really don't want your hair dragging across your lipstick.)

The part that's hanging down gets braided. Work small flowers into it--white and your favorite color. Use a pretty clip at the end to keep it together. When it's done, let it hang.

Let go of the part you're hanging onto and turn it into a French twist with flowers in it--white and his favorite color, unless it's brown.

We're actually doing sort of a crazy thing... we're having the wedding on 9/6, very small and casual affair back in Massachusetts. Then the following weekend (9/13) we're having a big bash here in Columbus... so it's extra planning, but it was a good way to have the small wedding we wanted but still (hopefully) not hurt any feelings.

I love that it's pretty comfortable, too... i was Maid of Honor at a wedding last summer, where the dress was SO big and heavy that all i did was chase after the bride all night and help her hike it up in the back, so her bra didn't show!
