I'm going to be in Burlington VT for a week in June -- suggestions?
I'm at a conference for the week, so I'm not going to have TONS of time, but I will have a little time to escape and see the area. Ben and Jerry's is already on the itinerary, and I will also be doing this:

Anything I absolutely shouldn't miss?

Thanks!

2. If I go to Montreal I will defect.
It is Portland, Oregon, in French. (I've had Montrealers tell me that Portland was Montreal in English ... go figure.)

I lived 7 years in and around Toronto. I don't know what I was thinking coming back.

8. Not much actually.
My family are all old and feeble and they don't go out and do stuff.

I mean, my brother just passed thirty recently, and my half-sister is well into her mid-30s... :P

11. Last I checked, I was at least 10,000,000 years old
Luckily my family doesn't get TOO wrinkly.

More amazingly, my parents AND one of my grandmothers are still around! I may make it to 20,000,000 yet!

Anything you wanted to know about dinosaurs? I got the first-hand deal right here.

5. Go see a Burlington Bees minor league game
Get yourself a REASONABLY PRICED beer and hot dog, buy a souvenir, spend an evening in June with baseball at a minor league game the way it ought to be (I'm a Lansing Lugnuts fan myself. Go Nuts!): http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/index.jsp?sid=t420

6. Cool! There are a bunch of folks going who are baseball fiends.
That would be a fun evening. Thanks!

7. Just report back. Let us know how you enjoyed it!
Minor league baseball is one of the underappreciated joys of life, and pretty cheap, too.

Let's see: Outdoors in Vermont on an evening in June, with friends who like baseball, drinking a few(?) beers and watchin' the game. All I can say is,

Wish I could be there, too.
