Letter to Marriott: Purge porn from your rooms

Nearly 50 pro-family leaders are asking the Marriott hotel chain to take pornographic movies out of guest rooms.





In an April 3 letter to CEO John Marriott III, 47 pro-family leaders requested a meeting to discuss the issue. The letter goes on to say that pulling the pay-per-view movies would be in line with Marriott's public statement of "promoting the well-being of children and families" and stand against "... such tragedies as human trafficking and the exploitation of children."

These people are effing ridiculous. Goodness knows lots of little kids are thoroughly corrupted by pay per view porn in hotel rooms...:eyes:

13. Reminds me of the days when I worked for one of Marriott's competitors.

Complaints like that always came from people who never patronize the place anyway.

One complaint I dealt with for months was from a religious group that objected to some pictures outside a restaurant in the complex, of, *gasp!* women kissing! Mind you, none of them were ever customers of either the hotel or the restaurant. And they had to take hours to look at almost a thousand pictures outside the restaurant to find the ones with the women kissing.

I went there about a year later, (high profile position and free hotel stays), and visited the restaurant in question. I made particular effort to take an hour or so to view the pictures. Also got a $250 dinner for 2 comped for handing the PR situation for them a year earlier. ;-)

What stuck me as hilarious is that there were SOOOO many pictures of men grabbing their balls, exposing themselves, or grabbing women's tits, doing other lewd, crude, and rude things, but this religious group had no objections to that. They were only concerned about a couple pictures, that were like a needle in a haystack to find, of women kissing!
