1. I didn't know he danced

2. He came through Santa Cruz a while ago.

Paul Thorne was his opening act. MrShine and I stayed for Paul's show (outstanding, btw) and then we were so effing tired, we bailed on McMurtry. :eyes:

It's a bummer when these clubs have their headlining act come on at 11pm.

Anyway, we never got to see him, but I remain a fan of his.

3. I saw him a few years ago at a small club in Indianapolis.

Mellencamp and his wife were sitting at a reserved table up front and everyone completely ignored them. :rofl:

McMurtry sat in a chair on a little stage and played songs from his first two records. He was kind of sedate but altogether it was a pretty good show.

I understand that he's been making a real effort in recent years to connect better with his audience. Ought to be a great show.
