The kids are home from school and I'm home from work due to inclement weather conditions.
I am passing the time with pursuits of an industrious and compelling nature, such as:
-Styling my hair in a variety of manners. -Shopping on the internets for a monokini. -Hiding from the kids, because they are obsessed with watching the hamster dance in an appalling, repetitious fashion. -Thinking about multiple reasons why I should NOT go outside to shovel. -Wondering why I had a dream about being very stressed out over vinyl stick-tiling my kitchen (something I have no intention of doing).
Yay Spring!

I already hate everything about Minnesota, but this? Come on. Figure out that people aren't supposed to live there and just move!

2. The only months in which I've never seen snow here |
|
are July, August, and *I think* September.
It's inhuman. I was definitely born in the wrong state.

16. Far northern Minnesota (Ely and Boundary Waters) have snow year-round |
|
Flurries have been reported up there in July and August, nothing stuck of course.

5. There are a handful of people I like in that state |
|
otherwise it's the 3rd most bland state I've visited.

It is bland here. And passive-aggressive.

"Minnesota Nice to Your Face, But When You Turn Your Back..." you get the drift.

I can't quite picture living out my later years here. It's just too cold for too long.

10. I freaked out last night because people were losing power around town |
|
and I realized that if the power goes out, the HEAT goes off.
I cranked up the thermostat to try to heat up the house in the event that we lost power and needed to retain some warmth.
We didn't lose power and now the house is too hot.
I can't win.
