Name something that is done as a favor for you but actually causes more problems for you?

Are there any things that someone does as a favor for you, with all the best of intentions, and while you appreciate it, it causes more problems than it is worth?

I can think of one thing off the top of my head. Restaraunts will fill my coffee up to the brim. That should be good--more coffee, after all--but the thing is, I like milk/creamer in my coffee. A lot of milk/creamer. I care more about having a good balance of milk/creamer than the temperature of the coffee.

So when I get a cup of coffee, black, filled up near to the brim, it doesn't leave much room for the creamer. I either have to put less milk/creamer in, or I am forced to have coffee which is darker and hotter than what I like it to be. And often times, this also results in the coffee being "too full", which if I am getting it to go and driving in the car, it is a lot easier to spill. Plus it is a lot hotter without the creamer/milk.
