Spring in Minnesota:
It's just another beautiful mid-April day here, in the balmy state of Minnesota.

Stop by and visit!

Admire the burgeoning blooms!

Sit on the deck and grill. Take the kiddies out for a spin on some play equipment!

Yay, Minnesota!

Every year about this time I seriously start to wonder.

7. Makes you appreciate the summer
There's also a lack of biting insects for most of the year. And there is no air pollution, large snakes, or alligators.

And it keeps the state from getting crowded!

Besides, in 30 years the warmer states will all be under water. :-)

19. You too?
I don't mind bugs that I know (little New England bugs), but when I go down South I'm always shocked and freaked out at the size of the bugs! I like knowing that I won't ever have to pick up a tarantula or a scorpion and put it outside!

13. I heard Rochester didn't get hit this time.
Up here in northern Minnesota we have over 42 inches of snow since last Friday.
We did manage to get the plow truck running and out of the driveway but the problem is now there is no room to put the snow that does get plowed.
Hurry spring. We have a front end loader coming to make room.
:scared:

9. Come to central Indiana in August
Over 100° and 90+% humidity, and dust everywhere, for over a month. You'll welcome winter back.

11. Why can't we just split the difference and have it nice here now,
and nice there in August?

Mother nature is a giant dipshit.

15. I would be up for that
Weird thing is, today it is nice here. It's going to be crappy tomorrow. Pisses me off because I've got lettuce sprouting already - hopefully it won't frost too heavy.

14. Pfffft! Just a light dusting
I lived in Minneapolis when I was a kid. I remember my father going out the back door with an axe to chop the ice off the front door so he could get it to open (the back door opened inward). We didn't even notice snowfalls of less than 3 inches.

If it's any consolation, Minnesota weather is frequently worse than that in Juneau, Alaska.

but I have heard people at work talk of building an ark....

We may get snow flurries today...on April 12

Supposedly it's supposed to be near 70 sometime this week, of course during the week when I am WORKING.
