So I had to sign a loyalty oath to be a tutor |

:wtf:
I had no idea being a tutor was such an exceptional position that I would have to swear to support and defend the Constitutions of both the US and California against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
I'm not sure just how I am to do that - perhaps I shall smite them with my mighty red pen?

I get this mental picture of a bunch of tutors armed with pocket protectors and calculators fending off the Red Menace or something.
It all seems to be based on a vaguely worded statute that says that "intermittent, temporary or emergency" workers can be required to take a loyalty oath at the discretion of the employer. I guess because it's a school, they want to cover all their bases but it seems very strange to me.

3. Sometimes my students don't say the Pledge in the morning. I garrott them. |

After the first three or four fatalities in the classroom, the rest come around and show their patriotic spirit.
