Straight Story and an ambulance....
I will be the first to admit that the headline is a bit deceiving. To a certain degree. My husband has accepted a very good job locally and I would like to peruse the man that is T.S.S. Please take this with a grain of salt. Straight and an ambulance company? Well this is only humorous to me due to his love of anything fried and pork. If you have a sense of humor like I do? You would have to giggle.

I will digress and simply post a very loving and non smart ass reply. When I met Todd 10 years ago he was a simple man from Ohio. When I say simple...I mean simple. He used disposable everything and had no pots or pans to speak of to cook. No cups and no plates. No forks and no knives. My first trip to his apartment was like a sci-fi special that I was hoping didn't get to T.V. in the near future. :) When we would spend our nights together however I saw the man he was. A sweet man. A good man. A man that had the smile of Buddha. In fact after dating him I would call him Buddha because of the peaceful smile he beamed. The dimples were an absolute plus.

Now I call him Daddy. Not because I need one, but because he is one. He has cooked and cleaned when I was not feeling well. He has tried so hard to match clothes in the blurry hours of dawn when our daughter has gone to school and it didn't work. The hair ribbons and barrettes were enough to make him go back to bed. He did try however. LOL.

At times in marriage you state, above all else, I love you. Thank you for all the years that you took care of me. Thank you for all the years that you took care of our daughter when I was sick. But most of all thank you for being who you are. I am so damn proud of you. You have said so much about me here in this forum when I was not there to see it. Now its your turn.

My husband has struggled through poverty, depression, and self doubt. He has overcome so much to be the man he is. And this post is not for me. Its for him. He did it. Please send him a huge hug and a cyber kiss. I know its the lounge, but please kick this for him today. He deserves it.

Autumn

2. You're Mrs Straight Story?
He's a good egg, if still an odd duck. Goose him from me. Unless you're chicken--although that would be a poultry excuse.

4. My dear Auntumn Mist (to borrow CalPeg's famous phrase...)
I can tell he is a lovely man by all the wonderful things he's written about you. I know he cherishes you. You are a very fortunate woman. He is the Real Deal. In what aisle do you find a diamond in the rough? I could sure use one, too! Love, Peacefreak.

11. Mr.TSS
is not driving an ambulance at this time (god forbid the sidewalks would never be safe again) but he is the man when it comes to all of their technology that they use for the vehicles and internally for the business. Woo-Hoo!

Have a very wonderful weekend. :)

12. Thanks for the wonderful post hun
Been a crazy week for me, but it was all made better by having you to come home to.

Now go cheer on your Pitt team :) (while I wait for some pizza so that you don't have to cook tonight - it won't be as good as what you whip up, but at least you got a well deserved night off!).

15. Thanks man
Her post meant a lot to me. Maybe, just maybe, life is turning a corner and she and I can get back to something normal.

10 years. Can't believe she has put up with me this long, and that she looks better now than when I met her.

Of course, I get sexier everyday myself...
