Well, it's actually 01.18 am here, but nonetheless: How are you all? I've missed you.

1. God aften fra Chicago. |
|
Hvordan har du det?
(As I shamelessly look for an opportunity to practice my poor Norwegian. :P)

Ikke verst! Although "aften" is something my great-grandmother might say. Or any Danish person.

"Aften" is a very, very conservative (no, not in the American sense) term.
But, bloody hell, I'm impressed nonetheless. Where did you learn Norwegian? And when?

6. Oh, shit, I knew that, too. |

And, it started when I had to do a project on a country for 6th grade; my country was Norway, and I learned some basic vocabulary. It was similar enough to English that I didn't forget everything once I was done with that project, so I've just kind of kept it up.

Were you saying to tell you what time it is (femten minutter til ni her), or to be mindful of what time it is?

The use of "hvor" messed me up. And there are no Norwegian classes here. That's why I suck. :P This was fun though, I learned some things. :)

I'd like to express what your country means to me. While Iceland is my favourite of the Nordic nations, I feel far from detached with regard to Norway. Especially I appreciate that it was a Norwegian couple who gave birth to one of my favourite writers, Roald Dahl. :D Also, the movie I consider to be the funniest I've yet seen is a Norwegian production titled "Get Ready to be Boyzvoiced". Well, maybe it's not much, but these entertainments I've derived immense enjoyment from, many times over.

10. Where did you see "Boyzvoiced"? |
|
Fantastic! I didn't think anyone outside of Scandinavia had ever seen that.
(And thanks for the compliments!)

SBS is an outstanding channel which was originally set up to reach out to Australia's various migrant communities. Since those humble origins, the channel has broadened itself to provide multiculteral programming for the entire population. One of their most regular staples is the airing of foreign film. Now... their programs are still of a high standard, but alas there is a new ownership which is more concerned with ratings and money, so it's more commercial. Still there's foreign film to be had.
