1. That's a terrible song for Twain... |
|
she just doesn't have the low notes in her range.

I generally hate all country music, but Allison Kraus has such an amazing and pure voice, I rush out to buy her albums so I can listen to her.
and then, she has that amazing band behind her. They are a good bunch thats for damn sure. All talented. Shania? not so much...

10. Twain's too nasal for my taste... |
|
And I can't help thinking most of her success is the result of the right amount of jiggle and a well-placed moan here and there. :puke:

I think her looks have a lot to do with her "success"
However, given the choice, I would prefer to listen to Allison over Shania any day of the week.

2. I once served this tiny little church in a tiny little town when Alison was just getting started |
|
and she played a concert at the local high school. Just after that, her first album really took off and she became famous. But I sat in the front row for that concert, and could nearly touch her. Wonder what a ticket like that costs now?
She's wonderful!

4. What's she doing there from about 00:42 to 00:57 |

She doesn't really play an instrument does she?
It looks more like she's giving a lame handjob.

19. That's Shania's song actually |
|
She usually sings it in a higher key and sings it quite well. I don't think the fact that Shania has a different range than Allison Kraus makes her a "talentless hack". You should listen to some of her older work. Its quite good.

And I love your symbolic use of the word "which" instead of "who" - so totally appropriate when talking about engineered "musical product". They really are "which"es.
