He was only twelve years old, but Michael was well beyond his years. :donut:

3. Tired...
I've been playing the 2nd fiddle part for a Rossini opera the last 3 days. It makes me sore.

I'm sorry...I didn't know you were really sick. What's wrong?

4. You know...
I know hardly anything about you, but you seem like an accomplished musician, and I respect you for that.

My sickness is chronic...in an acute phase right now...nothing unusual, thank you for asking.

8. You just missed Beethoven's 9th last weekend...
Saturday was sold out, Sunday was pretty full too. :)

Next one's May 31st. We'll be playing Pictures at an Exhibition, Christopher Rouse's "Rapture" (), and young soloist winners performing Lalo Symphonie Espagnol and Saint-Saens Introduction et Rondo Capriccioso. It's a must-see for your kiddo!

13. I have a very good friend in Baltimore....
has worked and rented there for years. Him and his wife just bought a house. I went down to do a "pre-inspection". I get down to see him maybe 3 times a year.

I love the city.

14. It's a great town...
I went to school there...before there was an aquarium, before the shopping mall was built at the Inner Harbor...back when the Orioles played at Memorial Stadium, near JHU.

The last time I was there, I played a wedding at the Museum of Visionary Art. It was a hot steamy Sunday, and I couldn't read the parking meter. So I figured since it was Sunday and it was after 6pm, the meters wouldn't be operating. WRONG! Half my paycheck went to a freakin' ticket! :grr:

The museum is cool, though.

Great view! And they had a decent jazz duo...piano and bass.

19. Really!!????
Great bar!!! I think they had a leopard skin floor. Last time I was in there, there were some lone guys sitting at the bar. Strangely dressed, but dressed for a purpose. I think they were trying to dress old Baltimore or something.

20. I don't remember leopard skin...
Last time I was there would have been in the early 1980s. I just remember everything being dark and shiny...sort of corporate chic decor.

I used to live on Park Ave. Every day this 60ish woman would walk her dog in front of my building, grumbling about how NOT charming "Charm City" was, and she'd pick up trash she'd find on her walks.

And the family-owned drugstore down the street from me had an honest-to-god soda counter that served cheap lunches.

15. Damn. Sorry about missing that. As for the rapture, I'll have to check with
Lynnesin. Though after tonight, it may happen soon...

John the Baptist is giving Jesus Christ his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" Jesus exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as Jesus sits, head in hands.

Finally, Jesus looks up and says, "I know how many a brazillion is!"
